The Professor Molchanov was built in Finland in 1983 for polar and oceanographic research, is ideally suited for expedition cruising, carrying a maximum of just 52 passengers.
The ship small, of ice-strengthened offers an experience more like a private expedition than a conventional cruise during your polar travels.
The Professor Molchanov, are manned by enthusiastic Russian crew, all highly experienced in ice navigation and dedicated to the protection of the environment. Russian captains are recognised experts in polar navigation.
Professor Molchanov has comfortable twin and triple cabins, some with private facilities. Each cabin has a window, writing desk, two lower berths, and ample storage space. The suite has one lower berth and one sofa bed, VCR and monitor, refrigerator and four windows. All cabin floors are carpeted. Each cabin has a loudspeaker for general announcements and music piped in from the radio room.
